Most of the character I like to play in TTRPGs are the ones with consumables resources, like a finite amount of power points, arrows, bullets, and similar. I really like having to manage this while playing, for it gives it this additional spice to difficulty of it all. That said, many times in games with heavy focus on simulation and minute details, I felt it becoming either vestigial and kind of a useless value to keep track of, or something that just complicated things on top of other things.

And so one would think the solution would be to go simpler and just get rid of it, like in some smaller games, where ammunitions are just infinite, something not to be bothered by. Neh, personally I don’t like that either.

Instead, I tried to come up with sort of a middle ground, that combines the best from both experiences, something that is simple to use and understand, but that does not becomes vestigial and keeps you on your toes by keeping things dangerous and unpredictable.  


Be warned, this is not tested, nor designed for any game in particular, so use it while knowing you'll probably have to adapt it in some way.
